"Children speak through behavior. We listen — and help them be understood."
JoAnn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and PCIT International Certified therapist with over fifteen years in the mental health field. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Edinboro University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University, and developed her deep expertise in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy through years of nonprofit agency work.
PCIT is an evidence-based, real-time coaching model that helps parents and young children build connection, reduce conflict, and grow into the relationship both of them want — and JoAnn is among the most credentialed practitioners of it in the region. Beyond child and family work, she also serves individual adults and couples, with clinical expertise across anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, and adjustment disorders.
Her approach integrates mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused therapy, tailored to each client's unique needs and family dynamics. Outside the office, JoAnn lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and three children and stays grounded through outdoor activities, regular exercise, and travel.
