From inquiry to first session

Here's exactly what to expect after you reach out.

01

You reach out

Submit the form, send an email, or give us a call. Whichever feels best for you.

02

We connect briefly

Our intake coordinator returns your message within one to two business days, Monday through Friday. Messages received on weekends, holidays, or late Friday will be answered the following business week. We’ll have a short conversation about what’s bringing you here and answer any questions about cost, insurance, or scheduling.

03

You meet your clinician

We match you with the clinician we believe is the best fit. Your first session is an intake — getting to know each other, clarifying what you're hoping for, and beginning the work.

Before you reach out

How soon can I get an appointment?
Most clients are seen within one to two weeks. If your preferred clinician has a waitlist, we'll suggest someone with a similar approach while you wait.
What if I'm not sure which therapist is right for me?
That's completely normal. Our intake coordinator and Dr. Chen review every new client and recommend the clinician we think will serve you best. And if it's not the right fit after a session or two, we'll help you switch.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, in accordance with HIPAA and Pennsylvania law. There are a few legally required exceptions — imminent danger to yourself or others, abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, and court orders — which we'll review together in your first session.
Do I have to want Christian counseling?
Not at all. Faith integration is available for clients who want it and never introduced for those who don't. Many of our clients receive entirely secular care.
Can I switch therapists if it's not a good fit?
Yes, absolutely. Fit matters more than almost anything else in therapy. If something isn't working, just tell us — we'll help you transition without awkwardness.
Do you offer online therapy?
Many of our clinicians offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for Pennsylvania residents. Ask about telehealth availability when you schedule.

If you are in immediate danger, please don't wait for us.
