"The story you've been telling yourself isn't the only one available."
Jake is a United States Marine Corps veteran who brings to therapy the same qualities that defined his service: discipline, commitment, and genuine care for the people beside him. He holds a Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Religion and Philosophy from La Roche University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Slippery Rock University. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Trauma Professional (Evergreen), currently working toward full LPC licensure.
His clinical experience spans Intensive Behavioral Health Services, Partial-Hospitalization programs, school-based settings, and outpatient care. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Methods, Imago Dialogue, and Humanistic approaches — tailored to each individual. For clients who want faith woven into the work, Jake integrates Christian care, "cultivating healing through kingdom values of care, concern, and compassion."
Outside the office, Jake values community deeply — spending time with his wife, dog, and cat, reading fantasy, and exploring the world. He has traveled to more than 25 countries and more than half of America's National Parks. He is especially strong with clients who want a therapist who will be both compassionate and direct.
